The Lowboy!
Years in the making, we believe our Arcade Lowboy design is the best designed cabinet on the market to date. There are none out there that even come close to what an original Lowboy should be!
So what exactly is a Lowboy?
The lowboy was the nickname given to an arcade cabinet designed in the early 80's... A petite, compact, beautiful arcade cabinet, that, whilst being smaller in size to other cabinets, still offered enough room for 2 players to comfortably stand side by side and play together. Well, we have not only brought this wonderful cabinet back, we believe we have perfected it!
Unlike all arcade cabinets on the market, our Lowboys offer a solid steel, high gloss, powder coated control panel, featuring a perfectly designed, 2 player 6 curve button layout.
It boasts a large LG 24" LED IPS flat screen monitor. Beautiful, vibrant and crisp at any viewing angle.
We use high quality, A Grade, commercial LG IPS LED monitors. We DO NOT use second hand B grade panels, nor do we use low quality LCD panels that have a poor viewing angle.
Our 2 player cabinets offer a pair of high quality, competition Joysticks, and high quality button micro switches.
Both Joystick styles/colours and button styles/colours can be changed to suit and are available in red, blue, black, white and yellow. Joystick tops are available in baton or ball top.
There are many cheap and somewhat terrible Joysticks out there, so our team trialed hundreds of samples to find a perfect joystick, that's not only smooth in circular rotational use for fighting games such as Street Fighter II, but sharp in 4 way action movement for games such as Pac-Man. Be assured, these are not nasty, imported joysticks like most dealers use.
Our tempered glass is strong, safe, and looks amazing with its high gloss black borders. We do not use acrylic as a monitor covering as some do, and we definitely do not use a cardboard bezel inside as a frame covering. Our high gloss black glass paired with our high gloss black control panel looks absolutely beautiful!
If you purchase our cabinet, you won't get bling, flashy LED lights, you won't get cluttery, tacky decals, you won't get cheap, crumbling particle board substrate, and you definitely won't get disappointment. You'll get a perfectly designed, solid, clean and tasteful classic arcade cabinet.
Other extra include LED lit marquee, back grip handles and heavy duty castor wheels for easy maneuvering, front and back door access with paired locks and keys, volume control, rubber T-molding.
*** I must add that these are 100% Australian made. From the wood, to the glass, every part is designed, cut, folded and coated here in Australia. I understand there are many brand new arcade cabinets on the market, most of which are imported directly from China at a very low cost, using very low quality parts.
